Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 8 sausage links
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, beat the eggs, reserving 2 tablespoons for brushing on the crescent rolls later.
  3. Scramble the remaining eggs in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Set aside.

  5. Cut each cheese slice in half and place one half on each triangle.

  7. Loosely roll up the triangles, starting from the wider end, and place them seam-side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Brush the tops of the roll-ups with the reserved beaten eggs and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the roll-ups are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  1. Serve Fresh: These Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Roll-Ups are best served fresh out of the oven when they are warm and the cheese is gooey. Serve them alongside your favorite breakfast sides like fresh fruit, crispy bacon, or a hot cup of coffee for a complete meal.
  2. Make Ahead: If you want to prepare these roll-ups ahead of time, you can assemble them and store them in the refrigerator overnight. Simply cover them with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and bake them in the morning when you’re ready to enjoy. This is a convenient option for busy mornings or when hosting brunch gatherings.
  3. Freeze for Later: These roll-ups can also be frozen after baking for a quick and easy breakfast option on busy weekdays. Allow them to cool completely, then wrap each roll-up individually in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. To reheat, simply microwave them until heated through or bake them in the oven until warmed.
  4. Customize with Toppings: Get creative with toppings and serve these roll-ups with your favorite sauces or condiments such as salsa, hot sauce, or ketchup. You can also add extra ingredients like diced vegetables or cooked bacon for added flavor and variety.
  5. Portion Control: If you’re watching your portion sizes, consider cutting each roll-up in half or serving them alongside lighter sides like a mixed green salad or Greek yogurt parfait.
  6. Store Leftovers Properly: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. To reheat, simply microwave them until warmed through or bake them in the oven at a low temperature until heated.
