Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • One 15 oz can sliced peaches, drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Pour the melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish and spread evenly across the bottom.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk until just mixed. Avoid overmixing the batter.
  4. Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
  5. Arrange the drained peaches evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
  6. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are crisp.
  7. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving warm.
  8. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
