  • Author: Lusine Svetlana

Description

Need a rich, glossy chocolate frosting in almost no time? This One Minute Easy Chocolate Frosting is the perfect solution. Made with just a handful of pantry staples, it comes together in minutes and creates a smooth, shiny topping that’s perfect for cakes, brownies, cupcakes, and more.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Add the butter, milk, and granulated sugar to a small saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Let it boil for 45 seconds while stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. Whisk in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips until completely smooth and glossy.
  6. Immediately pour the frosting over a 9×13-inch cake, brownies, or your favorite dessert.
  7. Allow the frosting to cool completely until it sets before serving.

Notes

  • Pour the frosting over baked goods while it is still hot for the smoothest finish.
  • Spread quickly because it begins to set fast.
  • Let desserts cool completely before slicing for clean edges.
  • Delicious on cakes, brownies, sheet cakes, cookies, and bars.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Refrigerate frosted desserts for up to 5 days.
  • Bring refrigerated treats to room temperature before serving for the best texture.
  • Freeze frosted baked goods for up to 2 months and thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
