Description

Mini Sausage Bread is a soft, fluffy, and delicious homemade snack made with tender bread dough wrapped around mini sausages and baked until beautifully golden. These bite-sized treats are perfect for breakfast, lunchboxes, parties, picnics, or an easy family snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 12–15 mini sausages
  • 1 egg, beaten, for egg wash

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Add the warm milk, egg, and butter.
  3. Mix and knead until a soft, smooth dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  5. Divide the dough into 12–15 small portions.
  6. Roll each portion into a flat piece large enough to wrap around a mini sausage.
  7. Place one mini sausage in the center of each piece of dough.
  8. Wrap the dough completely around the sausage and pinch the edges firmly to seal.
  9. Arrange the wrapped sausages on a lined baking tray, leaving a little space between each one.
  10. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  11. Let them rest for 10–15 minutes.
  12. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. Transfer to a wire rack and allow them to cool slightly before serving.

  • For longer storage, freeze the cooled breads in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months.
  • Thaw in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
  • If preparing them for a party, let them cool completely before packaging them in individual clear bags.
