Looking for a hassle-free yet incredibly flavorful dinner option? Look no further than this Crockpot Angel Chicken Recipe. With minimal prep time and maximum taste, it’s a surefire way to satisfy your family’s cravings without spending hours in the kitchen. Let’s dive into this creamy, garlicky delight that pairs perfectly with angel hair pasta for a wholesome meal.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped or whole
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • ¾ cup chicken stock
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 0.6 ounces Italian dressing mix (e.g., Good Seasons)
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta

Instructions

  1. Start by greasing the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot, then add the garlic cloves.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Whisk in the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken stock until well combined.
  5. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the crockpot.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
  7. Optionally, shred the chicken with forks about 30 minutes before the cooking time ends and continue cooking in the sauce.
  8. Just before the chicken is done, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain well.
  9. Serve the tender chicken and creamy sauce over the cooked angel hair pasta.
  10. Sprinkle with fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

Serving Tips:

  1. Garnish Creatively: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley, basil, or grated Parmesan cheese over the dish just before serving to add a pop of color and flavor.
  2. Side Dish Pairings: Serve this Crockpot Angel Chicken alongside a crisp green salad tossed with vinaigrette or steamed vegetables for a well-rounded meal.
  3. Bread Basket: Warm crusty bread or garlic breadsticks make excellent accompaniments, perfect for mopping up every last bit of the creamy sauce.
  4. Wine Pairing: Pair this dish with a light-bodied white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio for a delightful dining experience.

Storage Tips:

  1. Refrigeration: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Make sure to allow the dish to cool completely before transferring to the container.
  2. Freezing: This Crockpot Angel Chicken can be frozen for longer storage. Place cooled chicken and sauce in a freezer-safe container or resealable plastic bag, removing as much air as possible. Freeze for up to 2-3 months.
  3. Reheating: When ready to enjoy again, thaw frozen chicken in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat gently on the stove over low heat or in the microwave, adding a splash of chicken stock to prevent the sauce from drying out, if needed.
  4. Revive Leftovers: Use leftover chicken and sauce as a delicious filling for sandwiches, wraps, or even as a topping for baked potatoes or pizza for a quick and tasty meal makeover.
