Ingredients
Shrimp:
- 1 lb small or medium raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and patted dry
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Creamy Garlic Topping:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Bread:
- 4 thick slices French bread or sourdough
- 2 tbsp softened butter
Finish:
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- ¼ cup extra mozzarella cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
- Spread softened butter on the bread slices and bake for 5–6 minutes until lightly crispy.
- Toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Melt butter in a skillet over low to medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for 20–30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella. Stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Remove from heat and mix in chopped parsley.
- Spread the creamy garlic mixture over the toasted bread slices.
- Arrange seasoned shrimp on top and sprinkle with extra mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 6–8 minutes until shrimp are cooked through and cheese is melted.
- Let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving warm.
