Creamy Garlic Shrimp Toasts are an easy and delicious seafood appetizer or light meal made with crispy bread, juicy shrimp, and a rich garlic cheese sauce. This comforting recipe combines simple ingredients to create a café-style dish that is perfect for lunch, dinner, or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

Shrimp:

  • 1 lb small or medium raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and patted dry
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Creamy Garlic Topping:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Bread:

  • 4 thick slices French bread or sourdough
  • 2 tbsp softened butter

Finish:

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup extra mozzarella cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. Spread softened butter on the bread slices and bake for 5–6 minutes until lightly crispy.
  3. Toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  4. Melt butter in a skillet over low to medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for 20–30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella. Stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in chopped parsley.
  7. Spread the creamy garlic mixture over the toasted bread slices.
  8. Arrange seasoned shrimp on top and sprinkle with extra mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 6–8 minutes until shrimp are cooked through and cheese is melted.
  10. Let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving warm.

  • Serve these shrimp toasts warm with a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or a bowl of soup for a complete meal.
  • They make a great appetizer for parties, family gatherings, or special dinners.
  • Add a sprinkle of fresh parsley or Parmesan before serving for extra flavor.
