Description

Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken is a rich, comforting, and flavorful skillet meal that comes together in just 30 minutes. Tender pan-seared chicken is coated in a silky garlic parmesan cream sauce that feels restaurant-quality but is simple enough for a weeknight dinner. It’s a versatile dish that pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or vegetables and is also impressive enough to serve guests when you need something quick yet elegant.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut in half lengthwise
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four thin cutlets
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat
  4. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked
  5. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside, keeping warm
  6. Lower heat slightly and add flour and garlic to the same skillet
  7. Cook for about 1 minute while stirring constantly
  8. Pour in chicken broth or wine and whisk until smooth and slightly reduced
  9. Add heavy cream and simmer gently until sauce thickens
  10. Stir in parmesan cheese until fully melted and creamy
  11. Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce
  12. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to blend flavors
  13. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving

Notes

  •  Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables
  • Add extra sauce over sides for more flavor
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
  • Reheat gently on the stove over low heat with a splash of cream or broth
  • Avoid overheating to prevent the sauce from separating
  • Can be frozen for up to 2 months, though texture may slightly change
