Notes

Serving Tips:

  1. Chill for Flavor: Allow the coleslaw to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This enhances the flavors and allows the dressing to meld with the vegetables.
  2. Garnish Creatively: Sprinkle with a handful of fresh parsley or a pinch of paprika before serving for added color and flavor.
  3. Pairing Suggestions: Serve alongside grilled chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, or as a refreshing side dish with fried chicken for a complete meal.

Storage Tips:

  1. Refrigeration: Store leftover coleslaw in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep well for up to 3-4 days. Stir well before serving leftovers as the dressing may settle.
  2. Avoid Freezing: Due to the cabbage’s high water content, freezing is not recommended as it can affect the texture and taste of the coleslaw.
  3. Prepare Ahead: You can prepare the chopped vegetables and dressing separately up to a day in advance. Combine them just before serving to maintain optimal freshness and crunch.

By following these serving and storage tips, you can ensure that your homemade KFC coleslaw retains its delicious flavors and crispy texture, whether served immediately or enjoyed as leftovers.
