Description

Looking for a healthy, hearty, and satisfying meal that is also incredibly delicious? Look no further! This Cabbage Soup recipe is a perfect blend of nutritious ingredients that will warm you up and leave you feeling full and content. Whether you’re battling a rainy day or simply craving comfort food, this cabbage soup is exactly what you need to brighten your day.

Ingredients

1 large cabbage
2 small onions, diced
2 cans of stewed tomatoes
1 bag of any flavor Lipton onion soup mix
1 large celery, chopped very small
Ground beef (1-2 lbs)

Instructions

  • Start by filling a big pan halfway with water and bringing it to a boil. Once boiling, add the diced vegetables, and let them simmer. The cabbage and celery will soften beautifully as they cook.
  • While the veggies are simmering, cook 1 to 2 lbs of ground beef in a separate pan. Be sure to drain any grease before adding the meat to the soup. This helps keep the soup lean and flavorful.
  • Add your favorite spices and the Lipton onion soup mix for an extra layer of flavor. Don’t be afraid to get creative here and add your preferred seasonings to match your taste.
  • Once the meat is ready, stir it into the simmering veggies. Allow the soup to simmer for a few more minutes to let all the flavors meld together, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

Serving Suggestions:
This Cabbage Soup is versatile and can be served in many ways to enhance your meal. For an extra touch of flavor, consider topping the soup with grated cheese, fresh herbs, or a dollop of sour cream. You can also pair it with a slice of crusty bread or a side salad to round out the meal. For a heartier version, serve it alongside a grilled cheese sandwich or a warm roll.

Storage Tips:
This cabbage soup stores well for several days, making it perfect for meal prepping or leftovers. To store it, allow the soup to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. If you want to store it for a longer period, you can freeze the soup for up to 3 months. When ready to enjoy, simply reheat on the stove or in the microwave. If the soup thickens after being refrigerated or frozen, add a bit of water or broth when reheating to reach your desired consistency.
