  • Author: Lusine Svetlana

Description

This Banana Peanut Butter Weight-Gain Smoothie is a creamy, delicious drink made with bananas, whole milk, peanut butter, and nuts. It’s an easy way to add extra calories, protein, and energy to your daily diet. Enjoy it as a snack between meals or alongside your regular meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons roasted groundnuts or mixed nuts
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (optional, for extra protein)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • A few ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into smaller pieces.
  2. Add the bananas, whole milk, peanut butter, and roasted groundnuts to a blender.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt if desired for extra creaminess and protein.
  4. Blend for 45–60 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  5. Check the consistency. Add a little more milk if the smoothie is too thick.
  6. Add honey if you prefer a sweeter taste, then blend briefly again.
  7. Add ice cubes and blend until smooth if you want a colder smoothie.
  8. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with sliced bananas, crushed nuts, or a drizzle of peanut butter.
  9. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Best time to enjoy: Drink it as a snack between meals or alongside your usual meals to increase your daily calorie intake.
  • For extra calories: Add oats, extra peanut butter, or a little more Greek yogurt.
  • For more protein: Use Greek yogurt or milk with a higher protein content.
  • For a thicker smoothie: Use frozen banana slices instead of fresh bananas.
  • For a thinner consistency: Add milk a little at a time until you reach your preferred texture.
  • Refrigeration: Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours. Shake or blend again before drinking.
  • Freezing: Freeze peeled banana pieces ahead of time for convenient smoothie preparation. It is generally better to blend the smoothie fresh rather than freeze the finished drink.
  • Food safety: Refrigerate promptly and avoid leaving a milk-based smoothie at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
