Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup salted butter, softened (not melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C)
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs until light and foamy
- Add flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; mix until combined
- Mix in softened butter and vanilla until smooth
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts (if using)
- Pour batter into prepared pie crust and smooth the top
- Bake for 50–55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted halfway between center and crust comes out clean
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving

- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
- For cleaner slices, let the pie cool completely
