  • Author: Lusine Svetlana

Description

If you love pizza night but want something even heartier, this Supreme Pizza Casserole is the perfect recipe for you. Packed with pasta, gooey cheese, savory meats, and all your favorite pizza toppings, this dish combines the best of both worlds—pizza and casserole. It’s an easy, family-friendly meal that’s perfect for weeknights, potlucks, or even game day gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces penne or medium pasta
  • ½ pound Italian sausage or lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups pizza toppings (bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, etc.)
  • 14 ounces canned diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 14 ounces pizza sauce
  • 2 cups marinara sauce or pasta sauce
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese blend
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni, divided
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage (or beef) with diced onion and garlic over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add your preferred pizza toppings and cook for about 3-4 minutes, just until the vegetables begin to soften.
  5. Stir in the drained tomatoes, oregano, Italian seasoning, pizza sauce, and marinara sauce. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce mixture, along with half of the pepperoni slices. Toss well to coat.
  7. Pour everything into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  8. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese blend, remaining pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  10. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the casserole to set slightly.

Notes

Serve your Supreme Pizza Casserole hot, straight from the oven, with a fresh green salad or garlic bread on the side. To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely, then cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or the whole dish in a 350°F oven until heated through. For longer storage, freeze portions in airtight containers for up to 2 months.
