Description
These oven-baked garlic-parmesan fries are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. Unlike traditional fries that rely heavily on oil, these are lightly coated, allowing the natural potato flavor to shine through. Perfect as a snack, side dish, or party appetizer, they are simple to make and fully customizable with your favorite seasonings.
Ingredients
- 3 medium russet potatoes, sliced into even strips
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- ½ tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour olive oil into a large resealable plastic bag and add the potato strips. Seal the bag and shake to coat all the potatoes with oil.
- In a separate resealable bag, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the oiled potatoes into the seasoning bag, seal, and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Spread the coated potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then flip the fries and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until fries are golden and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside.
Notes
- Serve immediately with ketchup, aioli, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce.
- Leftover fries can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
