Description

Add a delightful strawberry twist to your desserts with this Strawberry Whipped Cream. Light, fluffy, and bursting with strawberry flavor, it’s perfect for topping cakes, cupcakes, pies, or even hot cocoa. Quick to make and incredibly versatile, this whipped cream will elevate any treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp strawberry jello powder

Instructions

  1. Chill the Equipment:
Place a metal mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:
Remove the bowl from the freezer. Add the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and strawberry jello powder. Beat with an electric mixer for 4-5 minutes, or until stiff peaks form and it’s scoopable with a spoon and holds its shape.
  3. Serve and Store:
Use on cakes, cupcakes, pies, hot cocoa, etc. Place leftovers in a container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

Serving Tips:

  1. Cakes and Cupcakes:
Use a piping bag to add a decorative touch to cakes and cupcakes. The strawberry whipped cream pairs wonderfully with chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry-flavored cakes.
  2. Pies:
Dollop a generous amount on top of fruit pies, especially those with berry fillings, for an extra burst of flavor.
  3. Hot Beverages:
Add a scoop to your hot cocoa, coffee, or latte for a creamy and fruity twist.
  4. Fresh Fruit:
Serve alongside a bowl of fresh strawberries, blueberries, or a mixed fruit salad for a light and refreshing dessert.
  5. Pancakes and Waffles:
Top your breakfast pancakes or waffles with a spoonful of strawberry whipped cream for a delightful morning treat.

Storage Tips:

  1. Refrigeration:
Store any leftover strawberry whipped cream in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
  2. Stabilization:
If you need the whipped cream to hold its shape for longer periods (e.g., for decorating cakes that need to sit out), consider adding a stabilizer such as gelatin. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin in 2 tablespoons of water and let it cool before adding it to the whipped cream mixture.
  3. Re-whipping:
If the whipped cream loses some of its fluffiness after being stored, give it a quick re-whip with an electric mixer before serving to restore its texture.
  4. Avoid Freezing:
It’s best not to freeze the whipped cream as it can alter the texture and consistency when thawed.
