Description

The Pineapple Limeade Slush is a vibrant, refreshing frozen drink that captures the essence of summer in every sip. Made with only three simple ingredients, this icy beverage is bursting with tropical pineapple flavor and a tangy lime twist. Perfect for hot days, picnics, and outdoor gatherings, it’s a crowd-pleaser that both kids and adults will love. The fizzy touch from ginger ale adds a light sparkle, making it an irresistible treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 fl oz) can frozen limeade (such as Minute Maid)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 4 ½ cups ginger ale
  • Fresh pineapple chunks, for garnish
  • Fresh lime slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine frozen limeade, pineapple juice, and ginger ale in a large pitcher.
  2. Stir well until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  4. Place the pan in the freezer for 1 hour.
  5. After 1 hour, scrape the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals.
  6. Return the pan to the freezer for another hour.
  7. Scrape again until it reaches a slushy consistency.
  8. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, or transfer to a zip-top freezer bag and store until ready to serve.
  9. Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks and lime slices for a vibrant presentation.

Notes

    • Serve Immediately: For the best texture, serve the slush as soon as it reaches the desired icy consistency.
    • Chilled Glasses: Pour into chilled glasses to help keep it frozen longer.
    • Add Garnishes: Garnish with fresh pineapple chunks, lime slices, or mint sprigs for a vibrant presentation.
    • For Parties: Freeze the mixture ahead of time and store it in a zip-top freezer bag. Knead the bag gently before serving to loosen the slush.
    • Storage: Store leftovers in the freezer in a sealed container for up to 1 week. Scrape and stir before serving again.
    • Make it Fizzy Again: Add a splash of cold ginger ale before serving to restore the fizz.
    • Frozen Cubes: Pour the slush into ice cube trays and freeze for individual servings.
