Description

MAPLE BACON CRACK is a delectable treat that combines the irresistible flavors of crispy bacon, sweet maple syrup, brown sugar, and crunchy pecans, all nestled on a base of buttery crescent roll dough. Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecan pieces

Instructions

Preparing the Bacon

  • Cook the bacon until soft, not crunchy. For oven-baked bacon, preheat to 400°F and bake for 18 minutes. Drain and chop the bacon; set aside.

2. Preparing the Oven and Baking Sheet

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.

3. Preparing the Dough

  • Roll out the crescent roll dough onto the prepared parchment paper. Pinch the seams to create a single sheet of dough. Prick the dough all over with a fork to prevent puffing during baking.

4. Assembling the Crack

  • Using a pastry brush, spread half of the maple syrup evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the packed brown sugar evenly on top of the maple syrup.
  • Scatter the chopped bacon and pecan pieces evenly over the sugar.
  • Drizzle the remaining maple syrup over the top.

5. Baking

 

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and the topping is bubbly and caramelized.
