Homemade Cinnamon Butter is a sweet, creamy spread that elevates any breakfast or snack. Made with simple ingredients like butter, sugar, cinnamon, and a touch of honey or maple syrup, it’s perfect on rolls, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, or banana bread. Quick to make, fluffy, and packed with flavor, this cinnamon butter will quickly become a favorite in your kitchen


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup (30g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened butter in a large bowl with a handheld mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment for 1 minute on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add confectioners’ sugar, honey or maple syrup, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Beat on medium-high speed for 3–4 minutes until the mixture is extra creamy and slightly fluffy.
  4. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula and mix again to ensure all ingredients are fully combined.
  5. Taste and adjust by adding more cinnamon (up to 1 1/4 teaspoons) or salt if desired.
  6. Serve with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and an optional sprinkle of cinnamon or flaky sea salt.

Notes

  • Serve on warm rolls, biscuits, muffins, pancakes, waffles, or banana bread.
  • Store leftovers tightly covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Refrigerate for 2–3 months for longer storage.
  • Bring to room temperature before serving for the best spreadable consistency.
