Ingredients
- 1 cup (16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup (30g) confectioners’ sugar
- 2 Tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Beat the softened butter in a large bowl with a handheld mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment for 1 minute on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
- Add confectioners’ sugar, honey or maple syrup, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Beat on medium-high speed for 3–4 minutes until the mixture is extra creamy and slightly fluffy.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula and mix again to ensure all ingredients are fully combined.
- Taste and adjust by adding more cinnamon (up to 1 1/4 teaspoons) or salt if desired.
- Serve with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and an optional sprinkle of cinnamon or flaky sea salt.
Notes
- Serve on warm rolls, biscuits, muffins, pancakes, waffles, or banana bread.
- Store leftovers tightly covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Refrigerate for 2–3 months for longer storage.
- Bring to room temperature before serving for the best spreadable consistency.
