Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese

  • Author: Lusine Svetlana

Description

Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese is the perfect fusion of two beloved comfort foods. This recipe combines the crispy, flavorful texture of garlic bread with the melty, gooey delight of grilled cheese. It’s a simple yet satisfying dish that elevates the classic grilled cheese sandwich with a punch of garlic and buttery goodness. Whether you’re making a quick lunch or a cozy snack, this garlic bread grilled cheese will quickly become a favorite.

Ingredients

2 tbsp softened butter
½ tbsp garlic powder
4 slices of bread (your choice)
4 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix softened butter and garlic powder until well combined.

  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet.

  • Layer cheese slices on top of the bread in the skillet.

  • Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, buttered side up.

  • Cook until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt, about 3-4 minutes.

  • Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.

  • Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then cut and serve.

Notes

Serve the garlic bread grilled cheese immediately while it’s hot and the cheese is perfectly melted for the best taste and texture. It pairs wonderfully with tomato soup, a side salad, or your favorite dipping sauce. If you need to store leftovers, wrap the sandwich tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place it in the refrigerator. Consume within 1-2 days for optimal freshness. To reheat, use a skillet or toaster oven to maintain the crispy texture of the garlic bread without making it soggy. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it can make the bread soft and chewy.
