Fantasy Fudge is a classic treat that has stood the test of time. With its smooth, creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor, it’s the perfect homemade candy to share during the holidays or to enjoy as a sweet indulgence any time of year. This recipe is simple, comes together in about 35 minutes, and creates 48 squares of delicious fudge that everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup butter
  • ⅔ cup evaporated milk
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 7 ounces marshmallow fluff
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 pan with non-stick foil, placing the dull side up to prevent sticking.
  2. In a medium pot, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the chocolate chips until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts, then spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Allow the fudge to cool completely at room temperature.
  7. Once cooled, lift the foil from the pan and cut into 1.5-inch squares.

Notes

Fantasy Fudge is best enjoyed at room temperature where its texture is creamy and smooth. To store, place the fudge squares in an airtight container with parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking. Keep at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 3 weeks. If you’d like to save fudge for the holidays or special occasions, it freezes beautifully—just wrap squares tightly in foil or plastic wrap, then place in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving for the best texture.
