Description
Slow Cooker Apple Crisp is the ultimate easy dessert for apple lovers. With tender, cinnamon-spiced apples and a crunchy brown sugar oat topping, this dessert is perfect for busy days, family gatherings, or a cozy treat at home. Using a slow cooker ensures the apples stay juicy while the topping crisps up perfectly, and it can be served warm with vanilla ice cream or cold straight from the fridge.
Ingredients
For the Apple Filling
- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced to approx. ½” thick
- Juice of half a lemon
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- ¾ cup old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup cold butter, cubed
Instructions
- Spray a 6-quart slow cooker with non-stick spray.
- Lay the sliced apples into the bottom of the slow cooker and squeeze the lemon juice over them. Stir to coat.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, flour, and cinnamon; pour over apples and stir to coat evenly.
- In another small bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon for the topping. Add cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or fork to mix until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples.
- Line the top of the slow cooker with a paper towel and place the lid on top to collect condensation and keep the topping crisp.
- Cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 30–60 minutes to allow the topping to crisp.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, or enjoy cold.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a decadent treat.
