Ingredients

  • 4 pounds country-style beef ribs
  • 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce
  • 6 ounces Dr Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chile powder (adjust to taste; New Mexico chile powder recommended)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of your crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place the country-style beef ribs in the crockpot.
  3. Rub ribs with salt, pepper, and chile powder evenly.
  4. Pour BBQ sauce over the ribs.
  5. Add the Dr Pepper.
  6. Cover and set crockpot to low for 8 hours.
  7. Serve hot, enjoy fall-apart tender ribs!

Notes

    • Serve with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or cornbread for a complete Southern-style meal.

    • Leftover ribs can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days.

    • For longer storage, freeze cooked ribs in freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months.

    • Reheat gently in the oven or microwave, adding a splash of Dr Pepper or BBQ sauce to keep them moist.
