  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth, divided
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 12 ounces egg noodles, cooked

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Season beef with salt and pepper, then brown in batches. Deglaze with red wine and transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Combine Ingredients in the Slow Cooker: Add browned beef, garlic powder, onions, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, and 1 ½ cups beef broth to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook to Perfection: Set slow cooker to high for 4-5 hours or low for 7-8 hours until beef is tender.
  4. Thicken the Sauce: Mix remaining ½ cup beef broth with cornstarch. Stir into the slow cooker, cover, and cook for an additional 15 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add the Finishing Touch: Just before serving, stir in sour cream. Serve over cooked egg noodles for a hearty meal.
