  • Author: Lusine Svetlana

Description

When it comes to crowd-pleasing appetizers, nothing beats a hot, gooey, and cheesy dip. This Chili Cheese Dip is the perfect combination of bold chili flavor and melty cheese that will have everyone gathered around the bowl with chips in hand. Whether you’re hosting a game day party, holiday gathering, or simply want a quick snack that delivers comfort and flavor, this recipe is a must-try. The best part? It’s ready in just 20 minutes and can be made on the stovetop or in a crockpot for convenience.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) can chili or about 1 ¼ cups homemade chili
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • ⅔ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, add chili, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and pepper jack cheese.
  2. Set the stove to medium heat and cook until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir well to combine.
  3. Keep warm in the pot or transfer to a serving bowl.
  4. For a crockpot version, add all ingredients to the crockpot, set it to low, and cook for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Stir before serving.

Notes

Chili cheese dip is best enjoyed hot and fresh, straight from the stovetop or crockpot. Serve it with tortilla chips, pita chips, pretzels, or even crusty bread slices for dipping. For a healthier option, pair it with fresh veggie sticks like carrots, celery, and bell peppers. If you’re serving at a party, keep it warm in a crockpot on the “warm” setting so the cheese stays melty and smooth. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place it in a saucepan on low heat or microwave in short intervals, stirring in between, until creamy again.
