Description
Caramel Apple Fudge is a rich, creamy, and festive fall dessert that combines the nostalgic taste of caramel apples with the smooth texture of fudge. This easy recipe uses white chocolate, marshmallows, and apple cider drink mix to deliver a sweet-tart flavor balanced perfectly with swirls of gooey caramel. It’s simple to make, requires no candy thermometer, and is ideal for holiday gatherings, fall parties, or as a homemade gift.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter, ½ stick
- 3 cups (129g) mini marshmallows
- ½ cup (99g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (118ml) heavy cream
- 3 packets apple cider drink mix (0.74 oz each)
- 3 cups (510g) white chocolate chips
- ½ cup caramel bits or caramel squares (such as Kraft brand)
- 1 ½ tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with two layers of foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large pot, combine butter, marshmallows, sugar, heavy cream, and apple cider drink mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until marshmallows are melted (about 8–10 minutes).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel bits and 1 ½ tablespoons heavy cream. Microwave at 50% power in 45-second intervals, stirring until smooth, then set aside.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in the white chocolate chips until completely melted and combined.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan and smooth out evenly.
- Drizzle melted caramel on top of the fudge. Use a small spatula or knife to swirl the caramel into the fudge for a marbled effect.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours until firm.
- Lift the fudge from the pan using the foil overhang, cut into small squares, and store in the refrigerator for best results.
Notes
