This recipe takes ordinary grapes and transforms them into a dazzling and delicious snack that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re hosting a party, craving a sweet pick-me-up, or simply want to impress your taste buds, these Candy Grapes are sure to delight.

Ingredients

  • 2025 fresh grapes, washed and dried
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • White gel food coloring
  • Other gel food colors of your choice (neon pink and sky blue suggested)
  • 2 teaspoons flavored oil (such as vanilla or citrus)
  • Sprinkles for decorating (optional)

Instructions

Prep the Grapes: Begin by inserting a skewer into each grape and set them aside.

2. Cook the Candy Mixture: In a saucepan, combine the white sugar, water, and corn syrup. Cook over medium to high heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 300°F (149°C). Use a candy thermometer to ensure accuracy.

3. Add Color and Flavor: Once the candy mixture reaches the desired temperature, remove it from the heat and stir in the white gel food coloring and flavored oil. For an extra pop of color, add 3-4 drops of other gel food colors and gently swirl the mixture.

4. Coat the Grapes: Dip each grape into the candy mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. For added flair, roll the coated grapes in sprinkles of your choice.

5. Let Them Set: Place the coated grapes on parchment paper or a silicone mat to dry for approximately 15 minutes at room temperature. Alternatively, you can speed up the process by refrigerating them for 10 minutes.

6. Serve and Enjoy: Once the candy coating has set, your Candy Grapes are ready to be enjoyed! Serve them as a standalone snack or incorporate them into your favorite desserts for a burst of sweetness and color.

  3. Create Eye-catching Displays: Arrange your Candy Grapes on skewers or cocktail picks to create eye-catching displays for parties and gatherings. You can also thread them onto a string to make a vibrant and edible garland for special occasions.
  4. Store Properly: Store any leftover Candy Grapes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Avoid refrigerating them, as this can cause the candy coating to become sticky.
