Biscuit Air Fryer Donuts

  • Author: Lusine Svetlana

Description

If you’re looking for a fast, fun, and delicious way to satisfy your donut cravings, Biscuit Air Fryer Donuts are the perfect solution! This recipe transforms canned biscuits into mouthwatering treats with a crispy, golden exterior and a sweet, cinnamon-sugar coating. With minimal ingredients and a quick cook time, you’ll have a batch of donuts ready to enjoy in no time.

Ingredients

  • 1 can canned biscuits (such as Grands)
  • 4 Tbsp butter, unsalted
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon

Instructions

1. Preheat Your Air Fryer
Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F for 3-5 minutes. This ensures the donuts cook evenly.

2. Prepare the Biscuits
Open the can of biscuits and separate them. Using a round cookie cutter, cut a hole in the center of each biscuit to create the donut shape. Save the cut-out centers for donut holes!

3. Grease the Air Fryer Basket
Apply coconut oil or another suitable oil to the bottom of the air fryer basket. Avoid using cooking spray, as it can damage the basket.

4. Cook the Donuts
Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re spaced out so air can circulate around each one. Cook for 2.5 minutes, then flip them over and cook for another 2.5 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown.

5. Prepare the Toppings
While the donuts are cooking, melt the butter in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.

6. Coat the Donuts
Once the donuts are done, remove them from the air fryer and place them on a cookie sheet. Use a pastry brush to coat them with melted butter, then dip each donut into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, ensuring they’re fully covered.

Notes

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve the donuts warm for the best flavor and texture. Pair them with a hot cup of coffee, tea, or a cold glass of milk.
  • Add a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
  • Customize your donuts with sprinkles, powdered sugar, or a glaze for a festive touch.

Storage Tips

  • Room Temperature: Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat them in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to restore their crispiness.
  • Refrigeration: If you plan to keep them longer, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days. However, they may lose some of their crispness.
  • Freezing: Freeze donuts for up to 2 months in a freezer-safe container or bag. Thaw at room temperature and reheat in the air fryer for a freshly-made taste.
